Power In Prayer

James 5:16 “…The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

Commissioned

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in Heaven and on Earth. God therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” -Matthew 28:18-20

Mark 1:17…Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”

Now is the time! Let’s be the hands and feet of JESUS to a lost and dying world. He is the light that penetrates the darkness and makes all things NEW!

God is Faithful to His Promises

God loves you and He does what He says He will do. He knows to no bounds. He knows no limits. He knows and loves you INTIMATELY. Even if your family forgets you, He will not forget you. He Who fashioned you with His hands, will not forsake you.

Psalm 27:10 “When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take care of me.”

Isaiah 49:15-16 “Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely, they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.”

When He speaks to you, He is going to do what He says He will do.

Jeremiah 1:12 “And the LORD said… I am watching to see that My Word is fulfilled.”

So, put your hope in God and trust Him.  He is doing wonderful things. He is speaking and moving. He is seeking after YOU. Are you seeking after Him? Because He wants to be close with you. He want you to take His hand and walk with Him. He want you to set your expectation on Him alone.

Psalm 27:13-14 “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart. Wait, I say on the LORD!”

Psalm 18:31-36 “For Who is God, except the LORD? And Who is a rock, except our God? It is God Who arms me with strength, and He makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places. He teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great. You enlarged my path under me, so my feet did not slip.”

Finding the Answers to Life’s Most Important Questions

Where Did I Come From?

God created the world and that includes YOU… In the beginning, everything was good and perfect, exactly as God made it to be. But now we all make wrong choices and commit wrong actions. Even though we live in God’s world, we go our own way, failing to live up to God’s standards. So, we are guilty of sin and our sin separates us from God.

Take John 3:19 into consideration: “And this is the judgement; the light has come into the world and people loved the darkness rather than the light, because their works were evil.”

We all want to feel good about ourselves, but we can only experience true meaning when we connect with our Creator. People try to find their own way to God and in many ways, but these efforts fail. Our sins are a barrier between God and us.

Why Am I Here?

God loves you very much and wants you to love Him in return. His love is the very reason why you are here! He desires to have a personal relationship with you.

What you can’t do through your own efforts, God the Son, JESUS, did by coming to the earth to die on the cross for YOU. Jesus took the punishment for your sin. He became the way between God the Father and you.

“I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6

Jesus is the ONLY way to God.

John 3:16- “For God so LOVED the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

And God proved that He accepted Jesus’ death as the way to life by raising Jesus from the dead. Jesus Christ is the only way to reach the Father.

Where Am I Going?

Jesus invites us, yet warns us, too.

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” John 3:36

If you don’t find your way to God through the Lord Jesus, you will never know God personally and your life will have no lasting value. When you die, you will be separated from God forever and the Bible calls this Hell.

But if you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you will have a personal relationship with God and live with Him forever. The Bible calls this Heaven.

Which Way Are You Going?

Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears My Word, and believes Him Who sent Me has eternal life. He does not come into judgement, but has passed from death to life.” John 5:24

How Do I Find My Way to God?

It’s as simple as A, B, C…

Admit that you are a sinner in need of a Savior. (John 8:11)

Believe (have faith) that when Jesus died on the cross, He took the punishment once and for all for your sin. Believe He rose to life again to conquer death. (John 1:29)

Confess (ask) Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior. His Word says in John 1:12… “But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His Name, He gave the right to become the children of God.”

A Simple Prayer

Here is a prayer you can use to receive the Lord Jesus as your Lord and Savior. It is a suggested prayer. You can use your own words if you want. What really matters is the attitude of the heart.

“Lord Jesus, thank You for showing me how much I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for me. Please forgive me of all my failures and the sins of my past. Make me clean and help me start fresh with You, God. I receive You now into my life as my Lord and Savior; Help me to love and serve You with my whole heart. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Your Destination=A New Beginning

Becoming a follower of Jesus is only the beginning of your new life. Jesus called it being “born again” (John 3:3). This means that you now have a personal relationship with God as your Heavenly Father and you are not alone. God sent the Holy Spirit from Heaven to be your Counselor, Who will guide you into all truth (John 14:26; John 15:26; John 16:12-15). He is there to help you live each day for God and to accept the changes He want to make in your life.

You can depend on His power to enable you to grow as a follower of Jesus. Being a follower of Jesus Christ involves a whole new life.

Start Now:

Read a part of the Bible each day.

Pray daily, talking to God as you would a close friend.

Join a local church where the Bible is taught. (If you need help locating a local church, please reach out to us. We can help.)

Share your new faith in Christ with others.
